CHLOE ROCHE

Infant & Child Sleep Consultant, Bachelor of Oral Health, Certificate in Adult & Tertiary Education

Chloe Roche is a certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant through the Baby Sleep Consultant NZ Training Program. Her passion for paediatric health was grounded through her career working as an AHPRA registered Oral Health Therapist, working in rural and remote communities in Western Australia for WA’s Dental Health Services. During her time working with thousands of families, she was exposed to a cross-section of families from farming, FIFO, fishing and mining backgrounds, who usually shared a common denominator: their children had sleep problems or had sleep problems as infants.

During the COVID pandemic in 2020, Chloe gave birth to her first baby and was exposed to the harsh reality of her isolation in a small WA town, effected by sleeplessness and the effects of a loss of the ‘village’ we as mothers innately crave and biologically and historically have required to survive and thrive.

After one year of chronic sleep deprivation and grappling with postnatal depression and anxiety and its devastating effects on her life, she sought support for her son’s sleep and implementing sleep training proved life-changing.

Chloe is passionate about guiding parents and their children to achieve the sleep they need to thrive by creating individualised sleep plans that align with a family’s values and the child’s temperament and nature. She is passionate about supporting parents in learning the science of infant and child sleep and disseminating the current evidence underpinning a range of sleep coaching methods. Chloe is also particularly passionate about supporting mothers living on remote farms and partners of FIFO/DIDO workers- parents who carry a heavy load usually with minimal support as they care for their children, often feeling isolated both physically and emotionally. Chloe is a proud stay-at-home mother of three young children and lives in Rockhampton, Central Queensland.
